Network security specialist.

Your primary responsibilities would be to act as a technical expert on the Nordics sales team. You would be committed to develop customer relationships methodologically and to work in close co-operation with our other teams and departments.

We appreciate, if you have at least 5 years of experience of administrating and planning complex network environments and to able to see the big picture. We wouldn’t mind either if you are committed and determined, and able to work independently and responsibly.

In order to succeed, you would need to have deep knowledge and know-how of information networks and network security. The ability and willingness for constant learning is a must, and you would need to be fluent in spoken and written English as well as to be able to travel at least domestically.

Vulnerability Analyst, Helsinki, Finland


As part of our R&D located in Lauttasaari, Helsinki, the Vulnerability Analyst will be working in a team that is responsible for attack and anomaly detection capabilities of Stonesoft's IPS and Firewall products. 

In this role the primary task is to develop anomaly detection signatures into Stonesoft products. You will be developing signatures that identify and classify internet traffic seen by Stonesoft Firewall and IPS engines. You will analyze software vulnerabilities and write protection signatures based on public and private security information feeds.  You will be working in a team of seasoned internet security experts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop Stonesoft Intrusion Prevention fingerprints that identify malicious networking traffic and prevent vulnerabilities from being exploited
  • Develop application and protocol identification signatures
  • Conduct analysis and risk assessments on public and private and exploits and vulnerabilities.
  • Debug false positive and false negatives in fingerprints and other protection mechanisms.

We expect

  • Experience configuring Windows and Linux/UNIX applications.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with TCP/IP and networking in general.
  • Intermediate knowledge of C, python or Ruby
  • Ability to learn new skills and apply them in a rapidly changing, high-pressure environment
  • Good team working capabilities
  • Good spoken and written English

  • Experience with network security and analysis tools
  • Experience with network configuration and deployment.

Senior Security Consultant

Job Description

The position is within Verizon Business Professional Services,
Governance Risk Compliance practice. Within the GRC practice we
address client needs for IT and information security, IT-governance,
IT-risk management and compliance. As an example, we have vast
experience and extensive professional services offerings for the
Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and Payment
Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) but also related to the
ISO27K series, CobIT and RiskIT.

Within Professional Services we spend much of our time at the client
premises and are engaged from client identification, presentation,
scoping, delivering to final invoicing. The position requires strong
interpersonal and technical skills and the ability to effectively
identify business issues and propose compelling solutions from
technical to Director-level clients.

Candidates must be willing to work at customer premises, sometimes
requiring extensive travelling. We work in an international
environment, where from time to time international travels are
required.

As a GRC consultant you will identify, sell and deliver GRC
engagements such as PCI DSS remediation projects or certification,
CobIT implementations, Risk and information security assessments or
management system development. Our clients regard the consultant as a
Verizon Business representative so you are expected to be able to
present and explain our services related to security, IT and
networking on a high level, in order to identify new opportunities for
both Professional Services and other business lines.

Success is measured on personal and team utilization, revenue and
client satisfaction.


Desired Skills & Experience

A broad range of information security, IT-security, Governance, Risk
and Compliance skills (preferably with a focus on PCI /QSA) are
required to effectively perform complex assignments. Familiarity with
principles, theories, concepts and technologies as well as applied
knowledge of established procedures, policies and practices.
Experience with delivering assignments using established security
frameworks, standards and methodologies such as PCI DSS, ISO27001,
CobIT and OCTAVE. Generally requires a BS degree in a related
discipline or equivalent experience.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead Professional
Services related calls and meetings.
Develop proposals from scratch OR by using standard templates,
acquired skills, experience and innovation.
Experience with selling, presenting and communicating solutions at
multiple organizational levels.
Ability to successfully lead and coach clients and a team of 2-5
colleagues using business English and local language.
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC,
QSA, PA-QSA, ISO27000 Lead Auditor
Information technology certifications CCIE, CCNA, CCSE, GCFA, GCEH, GWAPT.
Finance industry expertise and contact network.
Project Management skills and experience.
Demonstrated professional consulting and management experience
with enterprise IT-security, information security and Governance Risk
Compliance services.
+5 years of security consulting experience including at least 1
year of managing multiple consultants/engagements simultaneously.
Fortune 500 company experience.
